I read in these days of Christmas sermons of the great Pope Leo the Great on the period of Christmas and I was amazed that the exegesis of the passage of the prophet which says it is "a people who walked in darkness," St. Leo precisely this: "Other than the darkness, our world is in disrepair. And in this world falling apart only the Lord Jesus Christ can bring the start of the news. "
Credo che la parola sfacelo serva benissimo a dire il giudizio su questo anno che finisce e - dal puro punto di vista naturale e umano - su quello che inizia. Io vorrei trovare una sola persona sensata, che abbia un minimo uso della sua ragione, che sia attenta al suo cuore, che possa affrontare l’inizio di questo anno con un minimo di positività.
Siamo assediati quotidianamente dalla barbarie: la barbarie di chi rapisce ragazzine e le fa sparire nel nulla.
La barbarie di questi delitti familiari, che dilagano nella vita della società e sono oggi il punto di maggiore incremento della cosiddetta criminalità.
La barbarie dell’attacco alla vita, di mancanza di rispetto della vita in tutte le sue stagioni, dall’inizio until the return of life to the mystery of God

So, my friends will agree that we return to the great wisdom of the Church that has never celebrated the first year, the first day of the year. Celebrate instead on the eighth day of the Birth of the Lord, which therefore means that the Lord has become part of our lives and our history that gives meaning to this passage of time putting a minority in the world.
